We are dedicated to using evidence-based psychological counselling methods such as schema therapy, exposure therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Our approach combines rigorous training with an understanding of the unique needs of each client, ensuring that our methods are both effective and personalised.

Virtual Therapy

Telehealth counselling options available for individuals Australia wide, including video conferencing and over the phone pending your preference. 

Medicare Provider

Medicare rebates are available for clients with a mental health care plan and referral from their GP. This reduces the out pocket fee. See fees and rebates tab for more.

Workers Compensation

We are SIRA accredited and provide psychological therapy under the WorkCover scheme. We provide evidence based therapy with a focus on helping you recover.

Chapter One Counselling is based in St Peters, located inside Zenly St Peters. We service the Inner West of Sydney. To improve accessibility, Chapter One Counselling provides telehealth therapeutic services Australia-wide. We are an approved provider for Medicare, and SIRA (NSW Workers Compensation).


I support individuals with a range of presentations including  body repetitive behaviours, depression and anxiety. I have specific areas of interest in ADHD, chronic health issues, and trauma.  I’m passionate about helping you break free from complex patterns that feel overwhelming, so you can turn the page to healing and find a path forward that feels right for you.

Our counselling approaches are tailored to your unique needs and specific therapy goals. We use a variety of therapy approaches including Schema Therapy,  EMDR, Clinical Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure Response Prevention.

Step 1. Contact us by filling out the form on the contact page and we will endeavour to contact you within 48 hours using your preferred contact method. Feel free to ask us any questions to help you decide if Chapter One Counselling fits your therapeutic journey.

Step 2. Book in our in person or virtual counselling clinic, and fill in an online intake form.  During the first session, we will explore the specific outcomes you wish to focus on in therapy. Together, we will prioritise the issues to address and create a treatment plan unique to your situation.

Step 3. We will monitor your progress throughout your counselling journey and address any stuck points. Our goal is to support you towards a chapter of healing and growth. We will re-assess the therapeutic approach if it does not provide you with the best outcomes.

Chapter One Counselling acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work. We recognise and value their continuing connection to lands, waters and culture and pay respects to Indigenous Elders, past and present.
