At Chapter One Counselling, we are dedicated to ensuring that psychological care is accessible to everyone. As a registered and approved Work and Development Order (WDO) Sponsor, we provide support to vulnerable individuals who may struggle to access or afford mental health services.
We recognise that financial stress can hinder those in need of mental health support, making it difficult for them to prioritise or afford the treatment they require.
Clients must arrange funding for their WDO program. Medicare rebates under a mental health care plan may help reduce out-of-pocket costs.
Am I eligible for a WDO?
You may apply for a WDO if you meet one of the following criteria:
If you do not fit into any of these categories, you may still be able to apply under exceptional circumstances.
Chapter One Counselling is equipped to provide mental health treatment services under the WDO scheme. Mental health treatment will be conducted according to a health practitioner’s treatment plan, and we offer $1,000 per month for full compliance with the treatment plan. Please note that Chapter One Counselling reserves the right to decline clients who are in severe addiction states and would be better suited to community drug and alcohol programs.
The Work Development Order (WDO) Scheme is an initiative by the NSW government that enables vulnerable individuals to clear outstanding fines (including penalty notices and court fines) through approved activities or treatment rather than monetary payment. WDOs are supervised by organisations or health practitioners known as WDO sponsors, who are specially authorised by the NSW government.
